BOSTON-BASED UNO'S INTRODUCES NEW LOBSTER DISHES AND OTHER SUMMER FAVORITES
New menu items heat up a limited time summer menu while an expanded drink menu helps guests cool down
BOSTON, MASS., June 7, 2011 - Just in time for summer, Uno's, the casual dining restaurant with a focus on both indulgent and delicious and nutritious dining options, is ready with a limited-time menu featuring intensely flavorful seasonal favorites like lobster, watermelon and cheeseburger - some with a delicious twist.
The summer-inspired new menu features a classic New England lobster roll, lobster and shrimp scampi and a unique lobster melt with Cabot® aged cheddar, mayonnaise and scallions, along with shrimp tikka masala, the fresh, hand-made firecracker burger with buffalo cheddar and house-made guacamole, and a broccoli, fig and goat cheese thin crust pizza. For a twist on summer favorites, Uno's added a watermelon, blueberry and spinach salad and a cheeseburger pizza, made with deep dish dough they make fresh daily, and topped with hamburger, mozzarella, tomatoes, caramelized onions and even ketchup, mustard and dill pickles.
"Summer is a time for people to slow down, enjoy themselves and enjoy the flavors of the season. This limited-time menu has all the summer favorites, some with an intensely flavorful twist only Uno's can provide," says Chris Gatto, executive chef and vice president of food and beverage, who is used to creating dishes with lobster after having grown up in New England. "We want guests to come as they are, pull up a chair and stay as long as they like."
To complement the food menu, Uno's developed new drinks just for summer including two new mojitos - Watermelon Mint Pallini and Italian Strawberry Basil - and is also featuring Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat draft, a red and a white sangria, and Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling.
The limited time summer menu runs now through Labor Day.
