UNO® BRINGS BACK BEST OF SUMMER STARRING LOBSTER
Boston, MA (May 24, 2010) - In light of last year's unparalleled success, UNO® is reprising its popular Best of Summer Starring Lobster menu to be enjoyed through the summer.
"The lobster menu was initially introduced last summer and guests enjoyed it so much, we decided to offer it again!" said Rick Hendrie, senior vice president, marketing.
Guests can once again enjoy the Lobster Roll and the Lobster Wrap, both filled to the brim with the meat of a one-and-a-quarter-pound Maine lobster. Both come in a choice of traditional New England style, with mayo and lettuce, or with tarragon mayo, bacon and lettuce. Or the ever-popular Lobster Sliders, which are unique to UNO and stuffed full with Maine lobster, mayonnaise and lettuce. No matter what you choose, UNO will have your taste buds swimming with delight.
For comfort food featuring lobster, the menu offers a hearty Lobster Mac and Cheese that combines chunks of lobster with a "way richer, creamier" macaroni and cheese. Or, guests can enjoy a mouthwatering Lobster & Shrimp Scampi, sautéed with garlic, diced tomatoes and basil in a light white wine sauce that's fresh on the tongue and light in the mouth. For those who feel a little adventurous, the Lobster, Spinach and Goat Cheese Flatbread Pizza is a perfect choice.
For non-lobster fans, UNO offers a cool Watermelon, Blueberry and Spinach summer salad that has only 230 calories. The Roasted Vegetable and Feta Wrap features a whole wheat and flaxseed tortilla filled with roasted vegetables, caramelized onions, tomato, feta, lettuce, balsamic vinaigrette and a side of watermelon, while the Grilled or Crunchy Chicken Whole Wheat and Flaxseed Wrap is filled with chicken breast, cheese, dried cranberries, lettuce and tarragon mayo.
"Since UNO is known for its deep dish pizza, there is also a Cheeseburger Deep Dish, a tribute to American summer barbeques everywhere," notes UNO Executive Chef Chris Gatto.
The menu also features a selection of summery margaritas, coladas and lemonades, as well as Honey Moon Summer Ale and a variety of wine selections.
UNO will also reprise a few of its popular desserts including its yummy Bread Pudding with a Salty Caramel Sauce, served warm with vanilla ice cream.
