Long-Awaited Uno Chicago Grill® to Open May 16;
Portion of Opening Day Sales to Go to Attleboro Recreation Department
BOSTON (May 12, 2006) - In 1943, Ike Sewell opened the original Uno® in downtown Chicago, kicking off what would later become an American phenomenon - Chicago's Original Deep Dish Pizza®. After months of anticipation, on Tuesday, May 16, Attleboro residents will finally be able to experience the pizza that's ignited America's passion when the new Uno Chicago Grill opens at 221 Washington Street (open to the public at 11:00 a.m.).
Capturing the essence of Chicago with its warm décor and large, comfy lounge area, the new Uno Chicago Grill is sure to become Attleboro's favorite new neighborhood hangout. In addition to the world-famous deep dish pizza, the extensive menu features everything from sliders (mini cheeseburgers) to steaks to seafood. Diners looking for healthier fare can try the multigrain penne with chicken, signature salads, soups and flatbreads. The menu also features a large selection of beer and wines, as well as specialty drinks and martinis.

Attleboro's Slice of the Pie
Kicking off with a commitment to the community, Uno is giving Attleboro residents a chance to raise some serious dough for the city on opening day. On May 16, Uno will host a "Dough Rai$erTM" event benefiting the Attleboro Recreation Department, by donating a percentage of opening day sales.
Through the popular Dough Rai$ersTM program (UnoDoughRaisers.com), all Attleboro charities are invited to come and "dine for dollars." Uno will work with each charity to host a special day with a portion of sales donated back to the group. Since the program's inception in 2003, Dough Rai$ers have raised more than $1.5 million for charity groups nationwide.
