NEW UNO CHICAGO GRILL OPENS IN MYRTLE BEACH

New Uno Features Low-Carbohydrate Options and School Partners Program

Boston (August 2, 2004) – Uno Restaurant Holdings Corp. announces the opening of its second Uno Chicago Grill restaurant in South Carolina. The new Uno Chicago Grill is located at Broadway at the Beach, 1202 Celebrity Circle. The store officially opened for business on Saturday, July 31. Uno will open at 11:00 a.m. Sunday through Saturday and will offer the full menu until closing.
"We are proud to be part of the Myrtle Beach community and are excited to open another Uno Chicago Grill in South Carolina," said Uno President and Chief Operating Officer Paul MacPhail. "Although our guests may already know and love our famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza, they’ll be pleased to find items like our Chicken Spinoccoli and Lemon Basil Salmon on the menu as well."

The newly built Uno Chicago Grill is 7,300 square feet, seats 220 guests including an outdoor patio and full service bar and will open with 150 employees. The restaurant will look and feel like an old Chicago warehouse, with Windy City memorabilia decorating the walls and mahogany trim throughout the bar.

To further involvement and commitment to the Myrtle Beach community, the
new restaurant will offer Uno’s School Partner Program. The program includes several educational events, like free Pizza Maker Field Trips and fundraising opportunities for local schools and community organizations.

The new Uno is owned and operated by Joseph M. Eways, II, Michael P. Moore and Laila Moore of Pizza by Pubs, Inc. The restaurant will be run by General Manager Pete Winquist. "Uno Chicago Grill provides a high quality casual dining experience and offers the best food around," said Pete Winquist. "We believe that the variety of the menu, including the new low-carbohydrate items and the Kids Make Their Own Pizza option, will be a big hit with Myrtle Beach-area guests."

In 2003, the restaurant known for its Chicago Original Deep Dish Pizza™ evolved its name from Pizzeria Uno to Uno Chicago Grill to reflect the variety of its menu. Today, Uno Chicago Grill has the same great pizza, but also offers a complete casual dining menu, including ribs, seafood, juicy burgers and steaks, innovative pasta dishes, scrumptious appetizers, low-carbohydrate alternatives and desserts.

The company continues to earn accolades from industry and business publications. In 2003, Uno Chicago Grill was named by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 franchise opportunity in their category. The company also was selected by Franchise Times as one of the top 20 companies to watch in 2003.
